I’m so peeved – I really want to know the location of the Real Madrid vs. Manchester United match is going to be held. The rumor was Ann Arbor, MI. They’d better announce the details on that soon! Also, I’ll try to get the day off from work on July 30th so I can host some sort of HB & HB watishista meetup before the Manchester City vs. Liverpool match here in NYC!

I will definitely be going to Dallas! I was kinda hoping it was going to be at Jerry’s world but it was probably a. Too expensive and b. the turf isn’t grass…oh well…hope to meet some of you there!

Definitely eying the City game in NYC, and the final…. and hoping that the Real Madrid game is miraculously held in New England, heh.

I’m SO excited that Liverpool are playing NY. I’ve seen a few matches at Anfield, so this is unreasonable excitement but there really is something cool about them coming to my city. And of course I’m really really hoping Madrid play someplace reasonably close. Even if I do have to watch United as well.

Really hope they end playing at Ann Arbor! Btw if you purchase your tickets with a group, are they cheaper? I was a bit confused with what they said on their website. I imagine the ticket prices for the RM-Utd game will be ridiculously overpriced. lol.

Do you think the “stars” will play considering it’s right after the World Cup?

When Madrid came to the States after the ’10 World Cup all the big names were there (at least for the LA match).

A note about the fan travel packs, the guy who puts this event together every year, Charlie Stillitano, has a radio show on SiriusXM 94. He has been raving about the fan packs. You follow your team wherever they play, with other fans of your team, on your fan charter plane. There will be special guests, former stars, and commemorative swag, etc. There aren’t a lot available, about a 100/200 or so, per team, but it would be great for anyone wanting an immersion into their team. They sound like a great opportunity. Check on availability. Worth it’s weight in gold if you’re a true fan…

incidentally – forgot to mention – they don’t have those packs listed on the website yet!!!

Let’s amend that to “Worth it’s weight in gold if you’re a true fan…and you have the money to spare.” I mean, who among us wouldn’t love to do that? But reality is that most of us don’t have that kinda money & that much vacation time. It would be nice though – that sounds amazing. If anyone is lucky enough to do this, please feel free to report back to us!
