Work and other real life crap has been keeping me to drive by posting lately so I’ve got a bumper crop of stuff to get up on the blog. Here’s the first one…
When I got home on Sunday night and saw the 5 1/2 minute video that Guaje made for Atleti fans to say goodbye, I knew that it was just a matter of time before NYC FC announced signing him. I didn’t have to wait long.
I look forward to him bitchfacing his way around the boroughs. I wonder where they’ll live? Can you imagine bumping into Villa at Whole Foods on the Upper West Side while he’s glaring at the organic carrots? Judging the milled flaxseed and finding it lacking?
NYCFC has gone whole hog promoting this. Villa signs are cropping up around NYC and their website is cranking out the goodies.

He looks great in baby blue. However, all this smiling really needs to stop. I need my Villa grumpy and goal scoring, thank you very much. So how long before they’ll announce Frank Lampard’s signing? He’s just said his goodbyes to Stamford Bridge, so my guess is tomorrow.

I wonder if he ever regretted leaving Valencia for Barcelona. Imho he never ever did fit into the Barca squad. I wonder how his daughters will adapt to life in NYC.
Himm… I may be more fond of him than I realised.
I’m totally fond of him. He didn’t really have a choice about leaving Valencia – neither did Silva. They had to sell them off for the $$$.

I had so many mixed reactions to this but of course my excitement won out. My fave player has moved within 4hrs of where I live!! I feel I’ve won the football lottery. This takes some of the sting out of not being able to go to Washington this week after all.
There was someone on twitter saying how Villa winked at his wife when she met him. I was like “how do I create a situation where that happens for me?”
Soooooo glad that Spurs move never happened (tx to all the protracted stuff with Bale).

And then I will fangirl all over his bitchface ass. Ooooooooooo!
SO many good things are happening this spring – here’s to Spain winning the world cup to top it all off!
