Avdija VršajevićAvdija Vršajević (Midfielder, 2)

Sadly, I don’t have a lot of biographical data on this guy other than he was born in Tesanj (former Yugoslavia) on March 6, 1986. It appears that he grew up there or near there as well. He currently plays for Hajduck Split in Croatia.

For his international career, he has one U-21 goal against Armenia in 2006. According to FIFA.com he also has one goal (or at least his first international goal) against Liechtenstein on 7 September 2012. It doesn’t appear he gets a lot of loving from the fans either. He has yet to appear in a match in this World Cup.

UPDATED: Not only did he make his World Cup debut today, he scored against Iran.

According to the comm, there’s a bunch of Bosnians on the team who are related: two are cousins and one of them is the nephew of the coach.
