It’s Official: Diego Lopez To AC Milan

13 Aug

DLO12We knew it was going down when he arrived in Milan Monday night, but it’s finally official. He signed a contract until June 30, 2018.

Tuesday saw DLo along with Pablo Armero going through their medicals.

AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani spoke exclusively about the new transfers.

Someone put together a best saves video to get the Milan fans up to date on his prowess.

I’d like to thank him for all he did for our team and wish him the best of luck. I’m delighted that he is going somewhere that he’ll be able to get time (hopefully) without controversy. He’s a solid keeper and a good guy  (and a canterano) . He deserves better than the shit that has been slung at him since he returned home to Real Madrid.  I’ll be staying off Twitter for awhile because I can’t stomach the nasty crap that people are undoubtedly spewing about him (as per usual). Godspeed, DLo!  I’ll miss you, gentle giant.

And good luck to Keylor Navas. He’s gonna need it if he gets any playing time.

– Lozil

Hopefully we take care of him at Milan. Personally I think he’s better than Abbiati…

      I think he’ll do nicely for y’all.

I always think it is a better move to a place where you are the no. 1 keeper and you get to play the majority of the time. Chicharito has been going through that for the last few years, the peak time of his playing career. All for the $$ And yes he will be fine at AC Milan!

How much would you guys like to bet that those same a@#holes who constantly complained about diego will be saying that DLo was a better keeper the second navas makes a mistake? #hypocrites

Oh, I don’t want to lose any money, because I think you are exactly right. 😉 There’s always gotta be a scapegoat. People aren’t happy unless they pick a few players to take shit out on. It’s pretty sad.

Well, I can’t wish Milan well- not my team- but I do hope DLo is happy and successful there. He deserves it.

It makes me so sad he’s moved on but also very happy because he has taken all the opportunities presented throughout his career and continued to elevate his game each time successfully. That takes grit, smarts, and tremendous courage besides awesome football skills. Looks forward to seeing what he does in Serie A, even if he’s playing for the enemy. 😉
