Sneakers? Really Pep, Luis?
Every September UEFA holds this two-day forum for a select group of managers to come together and discuss a variety of football issues, get shit-faced, and talk smack about the other managers. Or so I speculate. This year’s forum is being held right now in Nyon, Switzerland, and is being chaired by UEFA’s coaching ambassador, Sir Alex Ferguson.

Ancelotti tweet: “It’s a privilege to share a day with a master like Sir Alex Ferguson #legend”
The Mister is there, along with a bunch of other old(er), white dudes such as: Arsène Wenger (Arsenal FC), Luis Enrique (FC Barcelona), Josep Guardiola (FC Bayern München), José Mourinho (Chelsea FC), Jürgen Klopp (Borussia Dortmund), Roger Schmidt (Bayer 04 Leverkusen), Manuel Pellegrini (Manchester City FC), Filippo Inzaghi (AC Milan), Míchel (Olympiacos FC), Carlo Ancelotti (Real Madrid CF), Laurent Blanc (Paris Saint-Germain), Jens Keller (FC Schalke 04), André Villas-Boas (FC Zenit), Jorge Jesus (SL Benfica), Massimiliano Allegri (Juventus), Mircea Lucescu (FC Shakhtar Donetsk), Unai Emery (Sevilla FC), Nuno Espírito Santo (Valencia CF), Rafael Benítez (SSC Napoli).
Diversity in football is not an issue at all. Nope.

Ancelotti on Inzaghi: “How is Inzaghi as a Coach? When one of your players starts his management career, it’s not a good sign for your age.” 🙂

Guardiola on former teammate Enrique: “Luis Enrique will do a better job at Barça than I did.” Challenge!
Diego Simeone was also invited but declined to attend so he could get back to yelling at his players training his team. I’m nervous for Alessio Cerci; ain’t gonna lie.
Here is a little video of the managers going for the group photo. Looks like Enrique might be picking up fashion tips from Iker, with the grandpa sweater sporting elbow patches. Suppose it could be worse.

Knew I would enjoy this post as one who LOVES her coaches (the saltier the better — hair-wise) but I completely agree. Diversity, please!
