Fun fact:
Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney are the only two forwards who have been mentioned on all ten shortlists since the introduction of the World XI in 2005. They join goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and midfielder Andrea Pirlo as the only players with ten nominations.

Four Four Two chose their best 100 football players in the world. Eleven of our current players were honored. Take a look through the whole article – a good read! Do you agree with their rankings?
1-ronaldo5-bale 14_kroos 18_modricb 28_ramos 32_rodriguez_james 35_benzema 63navas 71marcelo 76isco 85_varaneAnd some of our former players made the list as well. We’ve got good taste, us.
9-di_maria 10-robben 43_alonso 48_ozil2 59higuain_0 68garay 96_callejonCalleti made it! I’m so delighted for him. I miss him but he gets a chance to play and he’s loved & appreciated (same with Pipita).

There’s an infographic that goes over the breakdown of the 100 players along with features on Cristiano, Luka, James & Gareth.

And on that note, my eyes are crossing from staring at the computer so I’m off to bed. (Photos via FIFA, Four Four Two and MGEF)
