G-Money: Comin’ atcha like a freight train

I’m sure that is exactly what opposing goalkeepers see in their nightmares because…Gareth. The same could be said for the bulk of our team. How frigging awesome are we? 

The team returned to training as we prepare to face Celta on Saturday. We’ve moved on to the Round of 16 in the Copa Del Rey and are still currently atop the table in La Liga. We’re now up to 17 consecutive wins. Not too shabby.

The recovering Man Edith worked out inside with The Baby. Sami was given the day off and Medrán once again trained with the first team. There was a special guest watching the action: former Brazilian footballer Paulo Roberto Falcão, who was a legend at Internacional and Roma as well as a Brazil international.

Cristiano was voted the Worlds Top Goalscorer for 2013 by the IFFHS.

He also went for a bike ride in typical Cristiano Ronaldo fashion. No sweatpants and a paint covered, ratty arse t-shirt from that charity fun run he did in university (which is pretty much what I would go bike riding in) for him. Nope.

Speaking of fashion, The Baby is going to be the December cover boy for Surface magazine. I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for the rest of the pictures.

Keylor Navas is now a Spanish citizen, which frees up a spot for a non-EU player on the team. He’s been living in Spain since 2010, playing with Albacete and Levante before signing with us.

The mothership has a piece on how James is a total footballer, complete with two videos.  They also mentioned that with the appearance of Pacheco and Jesé in the game vs. Cornellà, all 22 players of the first team have now played this season.  Carletto has also given debuts to Medrán , Raúl de Tomás, Javi Muñoz and Diego Llorente. Medrán has played 4 games thus far.

Today the team received their Sanitas cards. Anyone wants to give me free health insurance, my ass would be lining up for that pronto. There were the expected promo shots with the card as you can see in the video.
