It’s Official: Nando Returns To Atleti

29 Dec

The rumors have been confirmed by the man himself. After 7 1/2 long years, Nando is heading home. AC Milan has loaned him to Atleti until the end of the 2015-2016 season. And you know what that means, people. SERNANDO.  I’m just delighted for Nando – I think he’s ready to be back in Madrid and I sincerely hope that this move rejuvenates him. He definitely knows that he’s loved there and I think that will make all the difference in his multi-year case of the Yips. Atleti could help him regain his confidence. Which would be great for him, but obviously, a big ol’ challenge for us but hey, we can handle the competition and it would be nice to see him really smile again, wouldn’t it?

Next year, there will be a Madrid edition of Sernando Epic Bromance post😋

There is a lovely article on his return at the Guardian too.

So that’s why Sergio did not go to Dubai! He stayed home to welcome Nando back and celebrate the New year together! 😉

This was some the happiest news from my Christmas break. I will find Sernando this summer.
