Stevie G Vs. Carra

I see you putting Gerlonso right in the middle, Stevie. You're fooling no one!

I see you putting Gerlonso right in the middle, Stevie. You’re fooling no one!

Stevie G and Jamie Carragher will go into battle against each other on March 29…for charity. The funds raised will go to community projects in Liverpool. The match completely sold out in hours (surprised it wasn’t minutes, actually) but you can check out the teams after the jump.

Steven Gerrard’s XI: Brad Jones; Stephen Warnock, John Terry, John Arne Riise, Xabi Alonso, Steven Gerrard, Kevin Nolan, Ryan Babel, Thierry Henry, Luis Suarez and Fernando Torres.

Jamie Carragher’s XI: Pepe Reina, Martin Kelly, Alvaro Arbeloa, Jamie Carragher, Luis Garcia, Raul Meireles, Jonjo Shelvey, Jamie Noone, Craig Bellamy, Didier Drogba and Dirk Kuyt.

Everyone is squealing about the Suarez-Torres match up, but I’m looking forward to Stevie and Xabi: together again, personally. And Titi! And Drogs! And hipster Raul Miereles!

Gonna be quite a reunion.

Is it just me, or Stevie’s team stacked? I might make an exception to my “He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named” rule and actually watch this match.

Omg. I wonder if this game will be available online later. But no Gerlonso love child in the squad though.

True, but they probably decided to leave him home with the sitter so that they could have some daddy-daddy alone time. 😉
