What The Hell Is He Wearing Now? And More

13 Mar

SatelliteEarly this morning, my gurl Kelly Welles (formerly of Kickette and now at Football Ramble) woke me up with this picture on Twitter.  I was, as you can imagine, horrified. I went back to sleep (in self defense) and hoped it would disappear by the time I woke up. No such luck.

My theory (expressed to Kelly) was that he was trying to cheer me up with bad “fashion” and I’m holding on to that. The flat cap, the patterned shirt with rolled up sleeves, the ‘stunned by a blunt object’ facial expression. He knows how to push all my buttons. Thanks Sese! I needed that.

Where is this from, you may ask? Well, Sergio was joined by Chicharito, Gareth and Marcelo at a “Fan Sticker Album” presentation at the Bernabeu.

Ramos, Bale, Marcelo and Chicharito are stars of the show during the “Fan Sticker Album” presentation

They interacted with supporters from all over the world during the Microsoft-organised event in the Santiago Bernabéu’s presidential box.

Sergio Ramos, Bale, Marcelo and Chicharito attended this evening’s The Fan Sticker Album presentation, the first digital sticker album designed for Real Madrid supporters from all over the world and created by Microsoft, an event that was held in the Santiago Bernabéu’s presidential box. The Real Madrid players answered questions from fans via Skype.

This one-of-a-kind initiative between Microsoft and Real Madrid saw thousands of participants from 118 countries sharing their passion for the Whites through the medium of photography. Those who took the best snaps, from all the photos shared throughout the world, were given the chance to chat with the players via Skype during the ceremony.

“The Fan Sticker Album aims to unite Real Madrid fans even further so as to inspire the team and create a real global community through our latest technology”, explained Sebatián Lancestremère, general manager of the Microsoft Sports Business division.

Marcelo looks adorable and smiley as usual. Just looking at him makes me happy.

The squad also had their training today. Burgui and Raúl de Tomás from Castilla joined the first team.

We started with “fashion” so let’s end with fashion. Cristiano got his model on for Sacoor Brothers and he looks very spiffy indeed. The man wears the hell out of a suit, that’s for sure.

Here’s a few more shots from the campaign.

You know, when I saw these photos I had a feeling this blog would comment on Ramos’ fashion attack. It played over in my head like and Old Spice commercial. ‘Look at him. Now look at the rest of them. Now look back at him. Does your man possess an incessant need to look like a doofus? Look no further than Sergio Ramos to help feel better and less embaressed about your man.’

HAHAHAHAHA! Yes. Totally. I’ve been waiting all day to get home from work and take Mr. Ramos to task for that outfit! 🙂

I first thought Sergio’s hat was his new hairdo. I was horrified.

Maybe Sergio’s outfit is to make the little one laugh as he walked out the door (and not serve as a fashion role model – oh the horror). Then there’s Cris to counterbalance…….*slurp*

as I looked at the photo of Sergio clapping and smiling (that face still gets me, even though the clothes are distracting), I thought he was sporting an brunette afro fade hairdo! If anyone would attempt that nonsense, he is certainly the poster boy for fashion faux pas!
