Wednesday Training & Wack Ass Bullshit

25 Mar

Satellite (7)Jesé, James, Arbeloa, Pacheco, Nacho and Illarra worked with Castilla today in the second training session of the week.

Ronaldo
And in “I can’t believe this ridiculous idiocy” news for today, Cristiano may be sanctioned for his “calma” gesture at the Camp Nou. SERIOUSLY? Do they not have anything better to do? He’s done this celebration there before with no issue. As I said to watishista mygypsyspirit this morning when she informed me of this nonsense: “What are they going to do next? Retroactively ban Raul for going “Shhhhhh!” I mean, really.

I understand where they are coming from with watching out for “provacative” gestures, but honestly, this is one of the tamest I’ve seen. How’s about we crack down on spectators making monkey noises and racist chanting? That’s pretty provocative, don’t you think? Making a gesture to say “be calm” hardly seems like incitement. Kinda the opposite, IMHO. I can see the “Shhhh!” riling people up more. And it was a Clasico! Usually there are fisticuffs at the bare minimum so this was something super lame to call him on.

But it’s Cristiano and they want to make an object lesson of a big wig, so down he goes. But honest to fuck, if they don’t do this to other high profile players (or ANY other players), I’m going to be totally pissed. Be fair about it enforcing it.

The guy who commented on Cris’ (forever legendary) calma celebration being provocative was the president of the Spanish league, the same who only recently said it was better for Barca fans to jeer Cristiano than the national anthem and that of course, he liked Messi better than Cristiano. The president of the whole Spanish league. SMH

There is also another bit about Cris’ “testicles”, swirling around. (notice my well place comma)

Marca is total garbage but I read it sometimes. The headline was just too funny to resist.

Oh and to comment on this, I noticed the whole match that Cris was having itchy trouble with his undies. So this is totally unfounded IMO. His laundry maid getting some revenge with itching powder would be more logical than all this rigmarole.

Complaining about Cris’ calma celebration is complete bullshit. How is that provocative? That is one of the calmest celebrations I have ever seen!

How can telling someone to “calm down” be provocative? It defies logic.

When I was in Turkey 2 years ago and taking pictures of little boys playing in the street, we could not understand each other’s languages. But we had football, so I said “Cristiano” and did his Superman pose (before taking penalties) and the boys did Cristiano’s new “calma” gesture!

So Cristiano has been doing this “calma” thing for 2 years now and only now, the head of the Spanish League thinks it is provocative? Tsk tsk!

Why not cite him for those threaded eyebrows of his, and move on to Sergio for his hideous fashion sense (and his incessant pursuit of breaking my heart)? Luis Suarez can choose to snack on someone’s rotator cuff, and Cris’ ‘calma’ is provocative? I love the game, but sometimes this stuff makes me scratch my head and go ‘huh’? Such a dust up over minutiae – absolute silliness.

I know the main concern is that of it enticing violence. Cristiano is just an easy target. There was a video that surfaced of police asking a young boy standing in the street with a full Ronaldo kit on, to put on a jacket because it wasn’t safe to wear that kit in some parts of Barcelona. A child. An effing child could entice violence?? These Ultras have everything messed up.
