8 May

Satellite (9)Karim did a mix of individual and group work today as the team had their final session before facing Valencia.

The mothership had a short video of Benz’s return to training.

The rest of the team took to the pitch with the exception of Lukita and Sami who worked out indoors.

“We know that it is an important game and we are lucky to be playing at home”, added the Real Madrid coach.

Carlo Ancelotti gave a press conference at Ciudad Real Madrid the day ahead of the La Liga match against Valencia. The Italian coach who announced that “Benzema is available”, analysed this Saturday’s game at the Santiago Bernabéu: “We must play with a lot of intensity against a side who are on a very good run, confident and fighting for a Champions League spot. We are not thinking about Juve, we are going to put our best side out against Valencia”.

“The team is doing well mentally. We know that it is an important game and we are lucky to be playing at home. Valencia gave us problems in the game earlier in the season and we have to put all of our quality out onto the pitch. We have maximum confidence for our next two games”.

Praise for Valencia
“I am worried about the quality of their game, their players, the confidence they have in their ideas. We are just focused on Valencia, which is the most important thing. The team are thinking about this game”.

“We are fighting for La Liga and the Champions League and if we are here it is thanks to the effort of the players and nothing more.”

“I have not decided the starting eleven. We will see tomorrow. I am not thinking about resting the players because we have had four days of rest. The team is fresh, and doing very well”.

The game in Turin
“We could have done a bit better, but it wasn’t down to a lack of concentration. You play every three days at this stage of the season and you can’t be at full intensity in all of the games. We made mistakes on things we normally do well”.

Bale
“I don’t read statistics because they don’t give me a great idea of how the game went. His game in Turin was like Madrid’s game. I don’t need to talk to him. He will be playing well again soon, like Real Madrid”.

The return of Benzema
“He is available. He still isn’t 100%, but we have good feelings about him and he is in tomorrow’s squad. It is to be decided is he will start or come on later”.

Ramos’s position
“He can play in a lot of positions because he has my belief. He has done very well. I don’t think it is reckless to play him in midfield. That is how we beat Atlético and Sevilla. If I have to put him there I will do it again”.

“If necessary I will do it again because I have got good results from it, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have confidence in the rest. I think about line-ups every game and what I am most confident with. There was no planning error. These are moments where the coach takes a decision based on matches”.

Khedira
“He had an injury to his right foot and has still not recovered”.

The football strike
I truly believe that this is a matter that is going to be resolved over the coming days. The parties will meet and take the right decisions so that La Liga ends on the scheduled date.

Messi’s game against Bayern
“l saw the match and Barcelona played well. They got an advantage and that is the most important thing for them. Messi did well, and so did the rest of the team”.

The following players were called up for the match:

Goalkeepers: Casillas, Keylor Navas and Pacheco.
Defenders: Varane, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo, Coentrão, Carvajal, Arbeloa and Nacho.
Midfielders: Kroos, James, Bale, Lucas Silva, Isco and Illarra.
Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Chicharito and Jesé.

The team also did some sort of meet and greet for Madridista card holders today. Apologies for not having more details.

And the mothership shared a couple of videos of our stats and goals against Valencia.

Hoping for a great game and a win for Los Blancos tomorrow.

– Lozil
