HALLELUJAH!!!!! Oh happy happy day!!!!
That’s me forzasusan…I was so happy I forgot to sign in!!
I nearly screamed at the office
I did too! My boss came running!
I don’t think I have ever heard such a collective world sigh followed by…THANK YOU!
WHEW what a relief!!!!
Damn Skippy! Ticker tape parade is due. Lol!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHo’s next? I hope it’s someone from the actual heart of football, not some rich tycoon wanting to take over. Didn’t Figo have aspirations for the position? Give him the job!
Also, I keep singing to myself…
“To the left, to the left. Everything you own in a box to the left!”
Lol!
Oh, I caused a scene. I got the news on my phone as I was headed away from the athletic trainer’s office. Since he’s a soccer fan, too, I went running back, yelling, “DUDE, YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS!!!!”
I don’t even know how to explain how happy I am, I almost screamed!
I was on volunteer duty today and found out in the venue. Something memorable about that. I may have heard a cheer or two around the place. General consensus is he cut a deal of some sort once Valke resigned.
I was watching something else and felt this urge to check what was happening on the BBC news and BOOM! Doing the Happy Happy Joy Joy dance!
I’m still wondering why he resigned when he obviously won the election by default. Was he offered a Golden Parachute or a White Bedsheet?
Just posting this once more, since it won’t be accurately titled for much longer: http://footyfollies.blogspot.com/2013/09/gee-president-blatter.html
From what I understand they need at least 4 months to develop and settle a new special election. According to Rodney Marsh Sepp will not actually GO AWAY until January 2016. Election will be held in the fall and voting will be completed in December 2015.
Here is a great article from WSJ that illustrates the process of selecting an interim president. http://www.wsj.com/articles/sepp-blatters-lame-duck-status-throws-fifa-into-limbo-1433378960
