Uosama, Zied and Mohammad fulfil their Real Madrid dream

The three, who have become symbols of the Syrian refugee crisis, were received by Florentino Pérez at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Uosama Alabed Almohsen enjoyed an unforgettable afternoon at the Santiago Bernabéu with sons Zied and Mohammad. The Syrian father of four, who came to the world’s attention following an incident in which he was tripped up by a Hungarian journalist, was welcomed by Florentino Pérez to Real Madrid’s stadium, where the trio of visitors were able to take in the Whites’ collection of football and basketball European Cups together with the club president. Pérez invited them to Madrid’s forthcoming home fixture against Granada and presented them each with a scarf and a cap.

Uosama: “Real Madrid are my team, and my whole family’s too”
“It’s a dream come true. I love Real Madrid, they’re my favourite team and my whole family’s too. I’m very grateful for the welcome given to us by the president. In Syria we dreamed of seeing a Real Madrid match, and now that’s going to come true. I’m really happy”.
