Animo Karim!

One of the many reasons that I hate international break: injuries. Benz was the latest to succumb.

After scoring twice in France’s 4-0 romp over Armenia, he was taken off in the 80th minute with a thigh injury. France coach Didier Deschamps confirmed the injury but said they didn’t yet know the severity.

I’m glad they took him off as soon as he felt pain. Fingers crossed, it’s something minor.

Animo, Benz!

No! No no no no no! There are two or three players at Real that I am crushed when they go down. Whenever Luka takes a hit and crashes and burns, even mildly, my heart is suddenly in my throat. But when Karim does my tears well up. This has been such a painful start to the season. In more ways than many. Anyone watch the Portugal vs Denmark match? At the beginning of the second half the physio placed some interesting “pre-treatment” on Kvist (Denmark). I’ve never ever seen anything like it before so I wondering if anyone else caught it. WTF was it? You can catch the re-broadcast on ESPN3 or watchespn.com

You must be freaking out now that Luka is injured too. Ugh. International break sucks!
