This One Time At Banned Camp And Getafe Tomorrow

4 Dec

real_madrid_logoSoooo, as everyone has probably heard, Real Madrid has been banned from the Copa Del Rey. But has that stopped us? Erm, no.

As ever, Real Madrid will not go gentle into that good night. We’re still fighting this and will appeal.

Official Announcement: The competition judge acknowledges that Cheryshev was not personally notified about his ban

The competition judge acknowledges that Cheryshev was not personally notified about his ban

Real Madrid C.F. received the competition judge’s decision at 6:17pm CET and after analysing it can verify the acknowledgement that the Spanish Football Federation did not personally notify Cheryshev about his ban, which is the only way the ban can take effect, as article 41 section two of the Disciplinary Code clearly states. We at Real Madrid C.F. stand by our argument and will take the appropriate action to ensure that the final outcome is favourable for the club.

Oh for fuck’s sake. We really just need to stop this shit.  LET. IT. GO. It’s embarrassing enough already.

While all this crap was going on, we had to finish preparing for a game.

Castilla’s Marcos Llorente, Odegaard and Borja Mayoral joined the first team for the session.  Sese, The Baby and Dani continue with their recovery. Yeah, that’s right, three of our defenders out. FUN!

"Dude, is this place ALWAYS so messed up?!"

“Dude, is this place ALWAYS so messed up?!”

Rafa Benítez: “It will not be easy against Getafe, we have to play with maximum intensity”

“It is a long road and we are doing quite well, better than what a lot of people think”, he added.

Rafa Benítez spoke to the media in the press room at Real Madrid city a day before the league game against Getafe. The manager analysed the game against the Madrid side at the Santiago Bernabéu: “We have to be focused as soon as possible and make the most of our quality, circumstances and know that it is not going to be easy. There is no other choice but to maintain maximum intensity from start to finish”.

“Getafe are a good side, and they are well managed. They are a group that know what needs to be done and they do it well. We have obtained three consecutive victories and, despite the injuries, we have not lost competitiveness. It is a long road. We are doing better than what many people think and we have to prove that on the pitch in every game”.

The squad
“They are doing well. They are a team that are used to handling burdens and demand. It is important to get players back because that will allow us to manage the squad better and be competitive until the end”.

“We have seen similar circumstances in other sides around the world and there are many causes. We have been affected by problems that are inherent to an intense season and those that resulted from national teams. That means that players are unable to rest, they over exert themselves, therefore the level of risk increases”.

Four months in the job
“More attention is paid to the greatest club in the world, but I know what it is about and we are clear about the path, which is what I was taught here so many years ago: working and focusing on matches”.

“Our fans are important and they know it as they have helped to make the difference on several occasions.”

“I am confident that the fans at the Santiago Bernabéu will support their team as always. They are crucial for us and I hope that they will help us because the key is to keep winning games and adding points in order to be in the hunt for the league. The fans are important for us and they know it as they have helped to make the difference on several occasions”.

“He is a vital player for us, he has an abundance of quality and he helps his teammates play better. He will feature and may start the game. Like anyone else, Karim must be granted the presumption of innocence.”

Zidane’s work as a coach
“Real Madrid Castilla are a professional side, therefore he is ready to train on a professional level, and he is doing a great job”.

Supposed fielding of an ineligible player against Cádiz
“We returned from the trip and we are now focusing on the game against Getafe. Everything relating to what happened has already been explained by the president and there is nothing more to say. I don’t want to go into that anymore. We know nothing about the ruling and we are waiting for it to be made. Real Madrid have already given a sufficiently reasonable explanation, and today, there is no more analysis to offer aside from that which has already been made”.

“He is doing well, he has worked well and knows the importance of getting the three points tomorrow”.

Piqué’s Tweet
“I am professional and have the responsibility of trying to do things well with Real Madrid. I don’t go into those matters”.

Call Ups

The following players were called up for the match vs. Getafe:

Goalkeepers: Keylor Navas, Casilla and Rubén Yáñez.
Defenders: Pepe, Nacho, Arbeloa and Danilo.
Midfielders: Kroos, James, Bale, Casemiro, Kovacic, Modric, Cheryshev and Marcos Llorente.
Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Jesé and Lucas Vázquez.

Oh and supposedly, Sergio called Pique and had a shitfit over the latter’s mocking tweet. Ugh. Boys and their territorial pissing. I can’t even. If it’s true, and these two have some scrapping history, let them punch each other out and be done with it. Two multi-millionaire children in a playground scuffle. Pique is a douche and dumb as a box of hair. That’s pretty well known. Sergio’s a hot head and…dumb as a box of hair so it’s match made in heaven. I just want everyone to stick to playing football and save the dick measuring for after hours (and feel free to send me a video. Kthanxbai).

Going the rest of the season without drama – how’s that for #squadgoals? Wouldn’t it be nice?

– Lozil

Pique? Oh he’s dumber than a box without hair. He needs to hire someone with all his Shakira money to take care of his Twitter like normal people. Stat.

Also, why didn’t you do a blog on the Spanish Football Awards? How James won best midfielder over #ToniLive I’ll never understand. I love James, don’t get me wrong but Toni played every minute of every match that mattered (or not) without injury and without flaw under Carlo. Great he scored a lot of goals but if not for Toni more than half of Real’s goals would never have happened.

Because I’m struggling to keep up with things here as it is. I have a pretty intense real life job (regularly work a minimum 11-12 hour day) and I have currently have a home situation where I have to oversee caregiving. It’s not easy to fit everything in. I have to pick and choose. I did mention the Spanish Football Awards in a post, but didn’t critique their choices. These things are so arbitrary.

I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to sound… I understand. Only 24 hours in a single day. You’re doing a great job. You’ve certainly kept me reading, and over-commenting.

No worries. I’d love it if I was able to write about football 24/7 – so much to say! 🙂 And there is no such thing as over-commenting. I love hearing from everyone.
