There has been two universal constants on the USWNT: Abby Wambach is gonna score and Pinoe is going to launch herself at Abby full tilt. I wouldn’t want it any other way. I love both these women to distraction. It was so hard to see Abby play her final USWNT game last night. I felt like I was going to drown in a flood of tears.
And it was even more heartbreaking that she didn’t score but that’s the way it goes. We have 184 goals to remember her by and for that, we are grateful.
