Friday Training, Christmas Lunch & Making A Tiny Woobins’ Day

18 Dec

Satellite (30)I had a long ass day and just got home so this is going to be a quick one. The team continued prepping for Rayo…

Castilla’s Marcos Llorente and Lazo joined the first team. The Baby & Dani worked on their own on the pitch. (Video)

The annual Christmas lunch with the basketball and football teams also took place today. (Video)

Sergio was rather tame in his clothing choice, but thankfully, Denis was there to pick up the slack. He was rocking a plaid blazer with leather lapels. That’s some classic Ramos shit right there.

Satellite (12)There’s even some sort of frayed pocket and matching elbow patches on that thing. Has the torch been passed?

There was a very special guest today: tiny Haidar Moustafa – just 3 years old, who sadly lost both his parents in the Beirut bombings last month. Reporter Rana Harbi posted pictures of the tiny Madridista recovering in the hospital and launched a social media effort to help him meet his idol Cristiano.

The news reached Real Madrid quickly and the meeting was arranged. Today was the big day.

The poor wee woobins burst into tears when he met Cris (no shame, kiddo –  I’d probably do the same). Haidar’s story is just heartbreaking. There’s a GoFundMe page to help raise money for him and a Facebook page so you can keep up with his progress.

Satellite (18)Captains Sergio, Cris, Reyes and Llull  visited Sanitas La Moraleja hospital after the luncheon to distribute gifts to the children as part of RM’s “No child without a gift” initiative. (Video)

More tomorrow!

That photo of Cris & Marcelo with the Madrid Basketball players is hilarious. They look so tiny.

For some reason I read the headline “Making a tiny woobins day” as in “Let’s make a woobins today.” And with most of our boys…

    I VOLUNTEER!!
