Bale: “We’re going to try to win everything this season”
“I’m looking forward to next weekend’s game against Osasuna and I’m sure that they will make it difficult for us”, said the Welshman at the promotional event.
Gareth Bale took part in a publicity event where he unveiled the new Adidas jacket from the Z.N.E. collection. The Welshman spoke to the media about his objectives for this season: “At Real Madrid we have high expectations and in whichever tournament we take part in we look to get the best results, whether that be the Champions League, La Liga, the cup…We’re going for everything this season”.
“It’s important to try to win La Liga because it’s been a few years since we have and it’s normal that it’s our focus. But, as I said, the objective is to try and win as much as possible, La Liga included. I’m looking forward to next weekend’s game against Osasuna and I’m sure that they will make it difficult for us, but it’ll be great to be able to call upon almost the whole squad”.
Welsh hero
“What happened at the Euros was incredible. We made history as a team and as a country. It’s a marvelous memory and to be able to put on the Wales shirt again is an honour for me. We want to continue making history and it’s great to continue climbing the world ranking. We want to continue to be successful and play in big tournaments. For now we’ve had a good start”.Closing in on Ian Rush’s record
“That’s not important for me at the moment. The most important thing is to perform well for my country and qualify for more tournaments. If all that goes well, the goals will come and I could beat the record”.
