The team had their annual open training session at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium with over 5,000 fans in attendance.
Castilla’s Luca, Tejero, Odegaard and Enzo joined the first team for the session. G-Money, Mateo & Lucas continued their recoveries.
After the session, the players signed autographs, posed with fans and kicked balls into the crowd.
Ronaldo: “We’d like to thank the fans, they always believe in us”

“It is a joy to see so many people and so many children”, said Keylor.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Keylor Navas spoke with Realmadrid TV at the end of the open door training session that took place at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium. The Portuguese forward showed his joy at the presence of the madridistas: “We’d like to thank the fans who are always there and always believe in us. Thank you very much for coming to training today”.
“It has been a dream year, both for Real Madrid and for the national team; An unforgettable year at an individual and collective level. I’m very happy. I hope 2017 will be as good and full of trophies and enjoyment”.
Navas: “It’s been a nice day for us”
“It’s been a nice day for us and for the fans. It is a joy to see so many people and so many children. They motivate us to continue working each day and we are thankful. Thank God for these three titles this year, they are very nice memories that will always be there. Now we are going to continue working hard to win many more trophies”.
“For next year I ask for good health for everyone, which is the most important thing. And we will work hard, humbly and with a lot of desire to win titles. We are really looking forward to the coming games”.
Today was also the annual Christmas Lunch with the football and basketball teams.
After the lunch, the team took part in another annual tradition, the”No child without a present” initiative. Zidane and Laso went to distribute presents at Sanitas La Zarzuela University Hospital. The captains (Sese, Cris, Felipe Reyes and Sergio Llull went to Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital. The rest of both teams split up and visited children at other hospitals around Madrid.
And Cristiano won another award! He was voted Eurosport World Star of the Year by users of sports channel Eurosport. He got 40% of the vote beating out Usain Bolt (25%) and Michael Phelps (12%).
