“We’ll need the fans’ support, the fans will cheer us to the last”, added the Real Madrid coach.

Zinedine Zidane spoke to the press at Real Madrid City the day before the LaLiga game against Sevilla (Sunday, 8:00pm CEST). The Whites coach had the following to say about the last game in the Bernabéu: “We have three cup finals in LaLiga and we’re starting with the first, tomorrow. We are only thinking about Sevilla. It is another chance to get vital points and keep soldiering on. The fans deserve it and they will cheer us to the last. It is a decisive game, just like the others, and we will do everything possible to get the three points”

“The details matter in football. Until now we’ve been phenomenal. We’re in the Champions League final and we’re doing well in LaLiga, we haven’t won anything just yet. We’re doing well physically and mentally. It will not affect us playing hard games till the end. We’re playing tomorrow and again on Wednesday and there will be changes”.

Praise for the fans
“The fans have been great so far, we’ll need their support to win and reach our goals. People talk a lot and we mustn’t be distracted. We must only think about tomorrow’s game”.

The three cup finals in LaLiga
“They are difficult. Sevilla have been towards the top of the LaLiga table all year and I think they’re great, but we know these games will be tricky. Celta and Málaga are also doing well. Málaga have been impressive as of late. But we can only think about tomorrow’s game, which is the first of three”.

His philosophy
“I feel better after this year. That’s normal, as only hard work will make you better. They’ve taught me that and I get better each day. I’m getting better at everything, but that means nothing, the key thing is to win”.

“We work hard and prepare everything we do, my technical team are great and bring great things to the team, this has a positive effect on the players, who have absorbed their ides from the off and show it out on the pitch. teamwork is the key. Everyone brings something to the table. We have to play and defend when we don’t have the ball and I’ve told the players that. You have to applaud their professionalism. There are a lot of people behind this project and I want to highlight two things: their hard work and the way we play”.

Praise for Benzema
“I’m happy for him and what people have said after the Champions League semi-finals. I know the kind of person Karim is and I didn’t need any excuse to praise him. he is an incredible player. We always ask him to score goals as he is the Real Madrid number nine, but he knows how to do a lot of things and I’m interested in how he plays with the others as we have Cristiano Ronaldo and Morata who can also provide goals”.

“He has had a spectacular career. He has been here doing great things for over 10 years, but I don’t know what will happen next year. He won’t be in the squad as he still has a few issues with his ribs. He trained with us, but he’s not quite up to it. I am not going to risk Pepe”.

Chance of winning the double
We are closer than ever, with just four games to play, but we haven’t won yet and need to stay focussed on the road we’re going down: hard work, concentration and intensity. We have been consistent this season and our goals are within reach. We want to keep working hard, the toughest test is still to come”.

Bale’s recovery
“We have to take it one day at a time. he is trained using the indoor facilities, but every day he gets better. We will see how he goes, but he’s not back in the group just yet and I can’t tell you when he’ll return. I hope he’s back soon”.

Man management
“Mata is right, and in that sense, it is great: to be able to manage this group of players. I prefer this to tactics. It is all important, but I agree with Mata, that man management is more important”.

Tomorrow is going to be a tough one but I think we’re up for the challenge. I can’t believe how quick this season is thundering to an end, can you?

– Lozil
