The team got back to work today (and I’m getting back into it too). The big news was that Toni Kroos rejoined the group.
Training
Zizou called up Fidalgo, Franchu, Seoane and Quezada from Castilla for the session. Luca worked out indoors. Mateo, G-Money and Carvajal continued their recoveries. (Video)
Ballon d’Or Nominations
Congrats to Cris, Sergio, Marcelo, Lukita, Toni, Isco and Benz who have all made the initial 30 man nomination list for the Ballon d’Or. More than likely the shortlist will end up being Cris, Messi & Neymar, but it would be awesome if they shook it up a bit (as long as Cris is on there!)
Club World Cup
We’ll join the Club World Cup during the semi-finals on December 19th. We will either face Al-Jazira (UAE champs), Auckland City (Oceania champs) or the winner of the AFC Champions League (Asia). The final will take place on December 16. Los Blancos will play all their matches at the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
