I’m not even sure what to say about the Champions League match. We seem so off balance – something integral is missing and I don’t know what it is. I just hope it sorts itself out quickly.
Training
Gareth returned to working with the team. The Baby & Carvajal joined the team for the first part of the session. Moha from the U19s (guess he didn’t get a promotion after all) was called up. Mateo, Keylor and Luca continued their recovery work. (Video)
Award
Congrats to Cris on winning the IFFHS World’s Best Goalscorer award for 2016. Good thing he opened his museum because, by this point, he must have run out of space in all of his houses.
Inclusive Sport Week
Llorente, Achraf and Vallejo were part of a penalty shootout for the 8th Inclusive Sports Week. They weren’t the only Blancos joining the initiative – Raul, Guti, Roberto Carlos and Butragueño stepped up to the spot as well.
