Our latest (and I’m late to report it) official signing for CD Tacon / Real Madrid is German defender Babett Peter! The 31-year-old joins us following a five-year stint with high-flying Vfl Wolfsburg where she won three consecutive Bundesliga titles and five consecutive DFB Pokal trophies. Prior to Wolfsburg, Babett played for FFC Frankfurt (winning one DFB Pokal trophy) and FFC Turbine Potsdam (winning five Bundesliga titles, one UWCL title, and one DFB Pokal trophy) respectively.
Internationally, Babett was part of Germany’s Women’s World Cup win in 2007, UEFA European Championship in 2009, and Summer Olympics gold medal (2016) and bronze medal (2008) wins. She retired from the national team this past spring.
