We’re all familiar with players throwing their game jerseys or training kits into the stands for fans at the end of games and workouts. Like Clint Dempsey did earlier this week, when he decided to trade his Seattle Sounders jersey for some popcorn from a young fan.

Central midfielder Celso currently plays for AIK Stockholm. He has represented Costa Rica at the U17, U20 and senior levels. He is the son of ex-footballer/coach Alexandre Guimarães.

A Bit Of A Catch Up

I’ve been incredibly busy for the past 5 days so I’m going to try to do a quick catch up post, although I know that I won’t be able to fit everything in. Yesterday was Mother’s Day and many of the players posted shots with their mamis and/or partners. Easy to tell Marcelo’s grin anywhere, isn’t it? He’s barely changed!

La Roja, Day Two: Awards

Lots of awards to tell you about! First up, Marca presented La Roja with a series of awards today. The first being their Platinum Award. The group pictures either look like mug shots or attempting to wrangle cats, what with everyone looking in opposite directions.
