New Year & Holiday Fun

Hope everyone had a lovely New Year’s Eve and have been enjoying the day today. As promised, a bumper crop of what various ‘ballers have been doing on their holidays. There have been engagements, baby announcements, singing in the mirror while dressed in a towel (Cristiano), blue gradient shoes (Sergio), celebrating on a camel (Mateo & Lukita) and a rather ungracious joke about a rival (Toni Kroos, being a bit rude, IMHO).  Let’s dig in! Back To Madrid, Accolades & Families

The team returned to Madrid after Wednesday’s win over Bayern Munich arriving home on Thursday. The game was fun but exhausted (the trip back seemed to take forever). Mygypsyspirit and I spent the following day recovering and hanging out. She left today so I’m getting back to work on things with a very quick catch up.

Boy is it hard to talk about training and the last game of the season after what happened earlier but here it is anyways – a quick rundown.

G-Money Returns To Training, I Return To Posting, Awards, Interviews & Marcelo Is A Year Older!

First and foremost, I’d like to thank mygypsyspirit for holding down the fort during my move. I couldn’t have done it without her. It’s going to take me awhile to get settled but this first week has been especially busy with guests in town from overseas and a whole host of other things. I’ve barely been home to sleep, much less unpack. I’m looking forward to settling in and things getting back to normal (well, as normal as can be in my world!)

And I totally spaced about posting this over the weekend, but congratulations to Alvaro & Carlota who welcomed their third child, a girl named Vega, on January 27th but just announced it on Sunday. Big siblings Alba & Raul must be so excited! Well, perhaps only Alba, Raul always looks disapproving which is why I love him.  I’m looking forward to another extremely adorable little old person baby.
