Stretchin’ in Pamplona

31 Mar

The weekend hungover photographer apparently went along for the trip as the weird angles are in play again. The team stretched in the garden of their hotel. I love Google Translate because this is how they phrased it: “Real Madrid took place in the gardens at the rear of the Hotel Muga Beloso session of face lifts.” Ah! Now it all makes sense – that’s how they keep looking so good! Continue reading

Central defender Curtis signed to Birmingham City in January of 2011. He previously played for Aston Villa (2008-2011 with a loan to Leicester City in 2010-2011). He made 2 appearances for the England U21 team and has been named in other England squads, but has not made his full debut as of yet. Here’s a better shot of his face and lovely smile.

The Daily Drool: Habib Beye

1 Aug

French born of Senegalese descent, defender Habib played professionally in France (Paris Saint-Germain II, Strasbourg, Marseille) from 1997-2007. He went to the EPL in 2007, joining Newcastle. While he was there he had his own chant which gives me the giggles still to think about it. Of course it was to the tune of “Happy Days” – “Sunday, Monday, Habib Beye / Tuesday, Wednesday, Habib Beye / Thursday, Friday, Habib Beye / Saturday, Habib Beye, rocking all week with you!”  Footy fans are endlessly creative, aren’t they? He joined Aston Villa in 2009. He has played regularly for Senegal’s national team since 2001.
