Updated:Pipita’s First Presser

Our bootylicious boy (he’s still our’s in my heart. Sorry, Napoli) gave his first presser for his new team today.

No Turning Back Now…

Well, Napoli posted a shot of Pipita signing his contract with De Laurentiis  on Twitter, he’s on their website and the mothership made an official announcement “Real Madrid C. F. announces that Gonzalo Higuaín has been transferred to Naples. The club would like to express their gratitude for his years of dedication and professionalism, and wishes him luck in this new step.” So that’s that. Interestingly enough, Pipita was supposed to be presented as a Napoli player on Thursday but it was canceled at the last minute. Wonder what snag in the process was the cause of that?

Well, kids, there you have it. Napoli chairman Aurelio DeLaurentis confirmed it. Translation: “Higuain and Reina have passed a medical and soon will join the group”

Man, I hate the transfer window. HATE IT, HATE IT, HATE IT. Hey Partenopei, you better treat that booty right (along with Calleti’s and Albiol’s).  Silver lining (sad one, but still): Albiolita stay together.

Wednesday Training And More

The Baby came out and trained with the team for the first half of the session before returning to the gym. It was so great to see him again especially since it’s being reported that Xabi will be out until at least October. We need all our players healthy and back on the team. There were also visitors over the last two days. Even though those players who were in the Confederations Cup aren’t due back until July 28, both Iker and Sergio stopped by to meet with their new coach. Sergio reportedly got in a workout as well.
