CONCACAF Rio 2016 Bound!

The 2016 CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying Championship wrapped up on February 21 with more whimper than bang. Unless you were on the USA team then you may have a few bruises which would suggest otherwise. Nevertheless, as expected the final featured USA vs Canada and while the former team showed up to play, the latter, well, were tactically wanting. And that’s all I’ll say on this particular topic.

First things first, I seriously apologize for the delay as I had some serious family things to take care of. But perhaps the delay will make this a better post, as I was SERIOUSLY unhappy by this match. I’m still not happy with the result but I can see that there are some good things to report – namely Julie Johnston and Becky Sauerbrunn and Kristine Lilly – oops Megan Klingenberg.
