The Daily Drool: Lucas Neill

17 Jun

Center/right back Lucas Neill has had quite a long career playing for Millwall (1995-2001), Blackburn (2001–2007), West Ham United (2007–2009), Everton  (2009–2010) and Galatasaray (2010-2011). Both he and fellow Aussie (and Drool alum) Harry Kewell were among several players that Galatasaray let go at the end of the season. He’s currently a free agent.  He has been a member of the Australian National Team since 1996 and is currently the captain.

The Daily Drool: Vicente Rodriguez

26 May

Gorgeous winger Vicente has had a tough career. Enormously talented, he debuted with Levante at age 16 in 1997. He stayed with them for the next 3 years and then played with Valencia from 2000-2o11. His career has been characterized with many injuries. He only played a total of 17 matches across all competitions this past season. He hasn’t been offered a new contract (to my knowledge) so it looks like he might be up for grabs. Apparently Blackburn has some interest. Fingers crossed for him. Nicknamed El puñal de Benicalap (The dagger of Benicalap), Vicente played 38 times for the Spanish National Team from 2001-2005.
