G-Money Returns To Training, I Return To Posting, Awards, Interviews & Marcelo Is A Year Older!

First and foremost, I’d like to thank mygypsyspirit for holding down the fort during my move. I couldn’t have done it without her. It’s going to take me awhile to get settled but this first week has been especially busy with guests in town from overseas and a whole host of other things. I’ve barely been home to sleep, much less unpack. I’m looking forward to settling in and things getting back to normal (well, as normal as can be in my world!)

Three out of four members of the legendary Booty CAAll (Albiol, Arbeloa, Pipita, Calleti) posed for a shot on the Napoli Instagram. I miss these guys! But I know that they are well loved and that Napoli fan extraordinaire Maria Rosario is taking very good care of them, which is comforting.

The Double As, as they were meant to be. Ah, it fills me with such sadness! Alvaro posted this with the caption (excuse the approximate translation: “Do not strive to make your presence noticed but your absence felt. Yours is going to be felt a lot. I wish all the best to the 5! See you soon, brother!” and then he added ” In bocca al lupo!!” which is Italian for ‘best of luck‘ WAH!

It’s (Just About) Official: Chori To Napoli

His agent admitted to negotiations and it’s said he’ll be sold for 12 million. All that is missing is the official-official announcement from either club. The Double As will only exist during international duty now. So pour one out for one of the team’s most beloved bromances. Interestingly enough, Albiol joins Calleti in Italy – the man who originally came between him and Arbeloa. Bromance scandal! But it gets better: TuttoSport says that Pipita could be one of Napoli’s targets to replace Edinson Cavani! That would mean 3/4 of Booty CAAll would be livin’ la dolce vita.  I will miss Chori and his big goofy smile.

Training, Angel Presser, Call Ups, Mou Milestone, Cris Interview & More

I moved into my new office today and I’m in the midst of unpacking. First thing I did was hang up my Real Madrid flag lest there be any confusion about what team I support.  Next up was the picture of me, Shigs, Maisougio & her crew at the Spain – USA game. Now that I’ve got  that done, I can get down to business. I feel more relaxed with familiar things around me.

Training, Sese Presser, Bits & Bobs

Busy times at work and Chez Lozil these days. The universe doesn’t seem to realize my true calling as a chronicler of footy pulchritude for the perving masses is being affected as a result. Sigh.

Our boys were back to training (and I hope it wasn’t as freaking cold in Madrid as it was in NYC today. Brrrrr!) with Real Madrid C’s Llorente, Joel and Álvaro joining them.
