The Calm Before The Injury Storm

19 Aug

Here’s some shots of the boys arriving today at the Bernabeu for what would turn out to be a disappointing tie with several of our players ending up bleeding and/or mangled. Ugh. There will be a recap of the game, but definitely not tonight. Continue reading

The Daily Drool: Tomer Hemed

5 Jul

scruby from Red Card Homophobia turned me on to the scorching Tomer and for this, I am eternally grateful.  Yum.  Tomer has been a forward for Maccabi Haifa since 2006 although it seems he’s spent a good portion of that time out on loan: Maccabi Herzliya (2008), Bnei Yehuda (2008-2009) and Maccabi Ahi Nazareth (2009-2010). He’s coming to La Liga in 2011 because he’s just signed to Mallorca! He’ll be hanging with fellow Israeli and Drool Alum Dudu Aouate. Tomer has also been a member of the Israeli National Team since 2003 beginning with the U17s and making his first appearance with the senior team this year.  To get you excited for the upcoming season, I’d just like to leave you with a picture of his deeply inspiring thighs. ::happy sigh:: Can’t wait until we play Mallorca!

The Daily Drool: Dudu Aouate

4 Apr

On the birthday of Sami Khedira, who better to feature than the guy who could be his brother? Nazareth-born goalie David “Dudu” Aouate started his youth career with Maccabi Haifa and eventually moved up to their senior team. In Israel, he also played for Halpoel Nazareth Illit (on loan), Halpoel Haifa and Maccabi Tel Aviv. He came to La Liga in 2003 and played for Racing Santander and Deportivo La Coruna before joining Mallorca in 2009. He played for the Israel U-21 National Team in 1998 and has been a member of the senior team since 1999. He is hotter than a tamale, IMHO. Shiggers and I can’t help but stare at him every time we play Mallorca. Yum.
