I was delighted to see Toronto FC had made a video for the wonderful You Can Play Project which works to create a safe environment for gay athletes. Their motto is direct: “If you can play, you can play.” And it should be that simple, shouldn’t it? Sadly it’s not. Toronto FC’s spot is terrific and multilingual. The Daily Drool: Marcelo Saragosa
26 AprHere’s Brazilian defensive midfielder Marcelo with his adorable son Matheus. He started his career in Brazil, came to play in the MLS and then went to Azerbaijan. He returned to the MLS, joining DC United in February 2012. A spot of trivia: he’s Kaka’s BFF – they were each other’s best man in their weddings. Hopefully, Cristiano doesn’t feel threatened!
