If you were thinking “Hey that guy looks really familiar, I wonder if he could be…” then you are correct, he’s Diego Simeone’s son. Giovanni is currently a striker for Genoa. He was born in Madrid when Cholo was playing for Atleti. He has represented Argentina at the U20 and U23 levels.

Sneakers? Really Pep, Luis?

Every September UEFA holds this two-day forum for a select group of managers to come together and discuss a variety of football issues, get shit-faced, and talk smack about the other managers. Or so I speculate. This year’s forum is being held right now in Nyon, Switzerland, and is being chaired by UEFA’s coaching ambassador, Sir Alex Ferguson.

Cholo Banned For 8 Matches

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has been banned for eight matches by the RFEF after being sent off during the second leg of the Super Copa.

Hot Pants Battle Heats Up Again

Just when we thought the Hot Pants War between Cristiano had been settled, Sergio’s working them shorts up again. Cheeky!

We Did It

Oh my, oh my, I’m still feeling this way, three days later. What a freakin’ RIDE that match was. I’m pretty sure RM had us feeling every emotion known to man, during the course of those 120 or so minutes. Fear, sadness, anger, shock, hope, happiness, ecstasy, it was all that and thankfully not in the opposite order! We did it, we did it, we did it! It’s so good to be a Madridista.

Recovery Session & Corazon Classic Presentation

The team held a recovery session today. The keepers trained outside while the starting field players from yesterday’s match trained inside. Cristiano and Fabio ran together outside for awhile before heading indoors. Casado, Mascarell and Willian José of Castilla joined the session on the pitch. (Training Video)
