She’s a Beast With A Ball

19 Feb

Tottenham HotSpurs forward Emmanuel Adebayor re-posted this fantastic video earlier today. And I haven’t been able to stop smiling since I clicked the link in my inbox. Moments like this always remind me Mia Hamm’s comment: “My coach said I ran like a girl. I said if he could run a little faster he could too.

e6672394bcdb11e2bb8f22000ae90eb1_7Hey all – hope you’re having a good weekend. I’m feeling a bit run down and crummy this weekend so I’m trying to get some rest. Here’s some bits & bobs. First up, this fantastic shot of El Pirata taken by his friend Rorro. I miss him so much! I wonder where he’s going to end up next season? Continue reading

How About A Sergio & Mesut Nightcap?

26 Feb

I just finished watching the Oscars and I’m about to hit the hay, but I found a few tasty shirtless shots that I thought I would share to give you all (and me!) some sweet dreams. But first, Sese posted a piccy of himself with birthday boy Pepe (and happy b-day to Emmanuel Adebayor and Fernando Llorente as watishista mygypsyspirt reminded me). Continue reading

Adebayor set for Togo return in WCup qualifier

By EBOW GODWIN, Associated Press

LOME, Togo (AP)—Emmanuel Adebayor is in line for an international return with Togo after its federation agreed Monday to his demands for the better treatment of players

Federation spokesman Agbovie Papavi Patatu said officials had “unanimously agreed with all the points” raised by the Tottenham forward at a series of meetings in Ghana, opening the way for his comeback in Tuesday’s home World Cup qualifier against Guinea-Bissau.

Adebayor said his return for Togo was “now definite” after officials agreed to the demands, which include the federation paying promptly for air tickets for players to travel for games. Continue reading

Adebayor To Possibly Return to Togolese National Team

This is some great news! Adebayor met today with his country’s Football Association. BBC Sport ran the following story about this last night. I’m hoping for the best for this lovely man.

Despicable Behavior

3 Oct

I just rolled home from the office and I’m finally getting to post something I’ve been thinking about since watishista! Jenny brought it to my attention this morning. During yesterday’s always bitterly contested Tottenham/Arsenal derby, some (note that I said some, not all) Arsenal supporters hurled particularly disgusting abuse at Manu Adebayor. I won’t call ’em Gooners because they don’t deserve to be put in the same category as regular fans.

Two Manu Adebayor Articles

17 Sep

I think Manu looks very handsome with his new look, what do you think? He seems to be settling in nicely, scoring in his debut match for Tottenham and in his interviews. The first interview says some lovely things about Mourinho and the latter talks openly about how the tragedy at the 2010 African Cup of Nations affected his world view. I have to admit, I teared up reading both of these. He comes off as such a lovely person – total class – so different than perception of I had of him as a sullen, angry player that I dreaded getting from Manchester City. I was delighted to be proved wrong and grew to love him. I think that being at Real Madrid did him a lot of good and I hope he enjoys his time at Tottenham just as much. Read on…

It’s Official: Manu To Tottenham On Loan

26 Aug

I’m going to miss his sweet smile, silly dancing and bromances with everyone. Godspeed, Manu! I hope to see you wearing Real Madrid white again someday. You definitely found a place in my heart.

Adebayor seals Spurs loan

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of Emmanuel Adebayor on a season-long loan from Manchester City.

Adebayor, 27, spent time on loan at Real Madrid last season and had been keen to return but, although Jose Mourinho had hinted at an interest, no agreement was reached.
