The Daily Drool: Mike Havenaar

mike havenaar46’4″ striker Mike was born in Japan to Dutch parents. His dad Dido was playing in Hiroshima for Mazda FC at the time. He grew up in the Japanese football system and made his professional debut in 2006. The whole family (including footballing brother Nikki & his mom, a former national heptathlon champion) became naturalized Japanese citizens in 1994.He currently plays for Eredivisie side Vitesse. Virgil-van-DijkCenter back Virgil just signed to Celtic from Eredivisie club FC Groningen. He has represented the Netherlands at the U19 and U21 levels. He reminds me a bit of The Baby. He’s 6’4″ as well.

Striker Bas is on the move from SC Heerenveen in the Eredivisie to VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga.  In August 2012, he got his first call up to the Dutch National Team for a friendly against Belgium, but didn’t play.

Muppet Baby Omar is a mere 20 years old. The winger/midfielder signed to Manchester City at the age of 16 playing in the reserves. He’s just gone out on his second loan stint with Eredivise side Feyenoord. He has represented Norway at the U7, U19 and U21 levels.

Danish center back Mathias, nicknamed “Zanka” is moving from FC Copenhagen to Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven. He has represented Denmark at the U16, U17, U18, U21 and senior levels.

Left winger Lorenzo plays for Eredivisie side Ajax. He’s represented the Netherlands at the U17, U19 and U21 levels. He’s also awesome because he supports Red Card Homophobia.  Knowing that he champions equality for all makes him even hotter, IMHO.
