New Year & Holiday Fun

Hope everyone had a lovely New Year’s Eve and have been enjoying the day today. As promised, a bumper crop of what various ‘ballers have been doing on their holidays. There have been engagements, baby announcements, singing in the mirror while dressed in a towel (Cristiano), blue gradient shoes (Sergio), celebrating on a camel (Mateo & Lukita) and a rather ungracious joke about a rival (Toni Kroos, being a bit rude, IMHO).  Let’s dig in! (It’s long so be prepared!)

Well, the pre-season prep is heating up. Pre-season starts officially tomorrow. Lots to catch up on! Marcelo & Dani were the first to get back to work on Wednesday.

It’s Official: Fabio Heads Off To Monaco

The exodus continues… Fabio is off to AS Monaco on loan for the season.

Real Madrid C. F. have reached an agreement to loan the player Fábio Coentrão to AS Monaco until 30 June 2016.

Rumors that Gareth Bale masterminded this move to get Fabs away from Cris have not been substantiated. All I know is that Cristiano’s vegetable garden will be safe for the first time since 2011.

Double Session, A Visitor, An Injury, A Presser

Let’s be real, it’s kinda hard to talk about anything but Iker right now isn’t it? Well, I guess we could always talk about how another club stalwart, Basti Schweinsteiger, is leaving Bayern Munich for Manchester United. It’s a shit day for fans of one career team players, that’s for sure.

But alas, life back at RM continues to chug on. The team had a double session today before they head off to Melbourne tomorrow to start the pre-season.
