Nando turns 33 today! Hard to believe, isn’t it? So glad to see him back on the pitch after that nasty head injury. Feliz cumpleaños, Fernando!
The team had their final training session before heading off to meet Eibar. Continue reading
Man, I don’t know about you, but I am happy to see the back of 2016. What a shitty year it was in so many ways. Another thing that I am happy to see the back of is…Nando. As is our tradition, we end the year with his arse since he was our first post ever on New Year’s Eve 2010. (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015) And holy hell, that makes us 6 years old! Hard to believe. Our official birthday (when the blog became public) is January 16, so we’ll celebrate then. But thank you so much for sticking with us through good times and bad. Special thanks to mygypsyspirit, hopechaser and the other watisihista correspondents for all their help keeping this place afloat. It hasn’t been easy.
I feel like we’re going into the great unknown for 2017. There’s so much turmoil and upheaval and uncertainty. I’m sending good thoughts out to the universe for peace, good health and prosperity for us all.
Wishing you and yours every good thing in the coming year,
Hala Madrid y nada mas!
A bit late in the day but happy 32nd birthday to Nando! Look at that sly smile – almost as lethal as his bitchface. Feliz cumpleaños, Nando!
We haven’t really posted a lot of Nando pictures lately, but as he’s shilling for the new LG V10 phone, here’s some nice shots (and video). Continue reading
Here we are at the end of another year which, as always, means Nando’s “end” to finish things off. His booty was our very first post on this day in 2010 which means we’re 5 years old! I can’t believe how time flies. Our “official” birthday (the day we opened the blog to the public) is January 16 so we’ll celebrate then. Nando’s booty has become a New Year’s tradition here (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014) and we wouldn’t want to have it any other way.
Many thanks to the watishista correspondents who have helped keep this place afloat in what was another challenging year for me personally. You guys are beyond the best! And for all the rest of you, who have stuck by us and the team through thick and thin. I can’t thank you enough. Being able to share the joy, sorrow and sheer ridiculousness that football brings with you is a privilege. Let’s hope that 2016 is a healthy, happy, productive and drama-free year for us all.
Fernando & Olalla are parents to Nora & Leo, two of the cutest woobinses in existence. Since they make such excellent babies, they decided to go for a third. How exciting! We’ve got a whole lot of cute on the way – Marcelo & Clarice are expecting their second as are Sergio & Pilar. Pictures of the adorable Torres Dominguez family after the jump. Continue reading
