I’m so pissed! I thought the match was tomorrow so I scheduled something for Sunday morning that I now can’t get out of. DAMN IT! I’m going to miss the first half. Sigh. So anyhow the team trained again today for the dang match on Sunday. ::pouts::

Ringing In The New Year: Baller Style

The Daily Drool – Epic Bromance Month: Xabi Alonso & Esteban Granero

Rarely has there been a more deliciously perfect pairing. They share a love of intellectual pursuits,  music, streamlined classic fashion (mmmm, Ray Bans & pea coats) along with chest/facial hair. I applaud their hipster perfection. El Pirata even chose the number 14 at QPR in honor of both Xabi & Guti who he idolizes. Xabi is our resident GQMF and Pirata is his heir apparent. Beautiful classy men, ftw. (BTW, funniest caption EVER for the picture above came from dorkorific: “PRETTY SURE MY NAME MEANS ‘STEVIE’ IN SPANISH…AND THIS DUDE’S A SLOPPY DRUNK.” A year and a half later, I still burst out laughing every time I see this picture as a result (then I marvel at the sheer hotness).

So someone has actually out Sergio Ramosed Sergio Ramos in the fashion department. Not possible you say? Well, I beg to differ.  I give you the fashion stylings of Barca’s Alex Song.

Now normally I wouldn’t pay much attention to Alex now that he’s no longer a Gunner, but I stumbled upon John Brennan’s article on SWOL and had to share the photos he compiled because they are jaw dropping.  I think I’m going to need to check Song’s Instagram regularly.

Let’s start out with a mild one. Red jeans, green shoes. ::shrug:: That’s just Guti going out to get a newspaper, right? But that’s just the tip of the fashion disaster iceberg.

The Return of Raul

How beautiful was the Bernabeu for Raul’s return?? So many beautiful moments were captured. The whole scene made me jealous of those who have been following the team since Raul’s time! I’m not ignorant as to what he means to the club & fans, and what he’s done for both, but unarguably this match was felt much more deeply for the Madridistas who supported him for years. With that said, get ready for a long one! There’s lots and lots of pretty.
