New Year & Holiday Fun

Hope everyone had a lovely New Year’s Eve and have been enjoying the day today. As promised, a bumper crop of what various ‘ballers have been doing on their holidays. There have been engagements, baby announcements, singing in the mirror while dressed in a towel (Cristiano), blue gradient shoes (Sergio), celebrating on a camel (Mateo & Lukita) and a rather ungracious joke about a rival (Toni Kroos, being a bit rude, IMHO).  Let’s dig in! (It’s long so be prepared!)

Man, it’s hard to believe that the Callejon twins are both papis, but here they are with their babies. I completely melted when I saw this. Juanmi looks confuzzled by that bottle, but Calleti is an old hand at feeding India.

One of my fave couples tied the knot yesterday: Jose Callejon & his long time love, Marta Ponsati Romero. 

G-Money Returns, Halloweeny & Color Me Shocked! (NOT)

“Oh shiz! Gareth is back. How are you going to break it to James?!”

It’s been quite a weekend! We handily won our match and now sit atop the table. Huzzah!  And Gareth rejoined the group today, which is great news. The 6 outfield players who didn’t start worked out with Gareth while Marcelo & Cris trained on their own. We have a Champions League match against Liverpool on Tuesday.

An Itty Bitty Burrito Baby And What Hath Karim Wrought?

Marta captured Calleti and baby India napping on their vacation. She’s so tiny! (and four days younger than My Littler Pony) I love it when wee bebes are all wrapped up burrito-style. So sweet!

What’s not so sweet is Karim’s influence on the younger members of Les Bleus.
