New Year & Holiday Fun

Hope everyone had a lovely New Year’s Eve and have been enjoying the day today. As promised, a bumper crop of what various ‘ballers have been doing on their holidays. There have been engagements, baby announcements, singing in the mirror while dressed in a towel (Cristiano), blue gradient shoes (Sergio), celebrating on a camel (Mateo & Lukita) and a rather ungracious joke about a rival (Toni Kroos, being a bit rude, IMHO).  Let’s dig in! (It’s long so be prepared!)

Second Training In Japan

The team continued preparing for Thursday’s Club World Cup semi-final with a training session at Mitsuzawa Stadium.

More Cris, Awards & International Duty

Oh y’all! I cannot concentrate on anything except election returns. Last night I tossed and turned all night and finally got up and went to the polls as soon as they opened at 6 AM to vote. I could not wait one minute longer.  But that means I had to wait a whole buttload longer for results. Argh. Anyhow, Cristiano.

Well, I’m finally back from Nashville just in time for international duty! 15 of our players have been called up for their national teams.

Lifting The Santiago Bernabeu Trophy

Real Madrid lifted their 11th consecutive Santiago Bernabeu trophy (and 26th overall) but Stade De Reims sure didn’t make it easy!

Back To Madrid, Accolades & Families

The team returned to Madrid after Wednesday’s win over Bayern Munich arriving home on Thursday. The game was fun but exhausted (the trip back seemed to take forever). Mygypsyspirit and I spent the following day recovering and hanging out. She left today so I’m getting back to work on things with a very quick catch up. 

Surprises, Visitors & Fans

Five lucky fans had quite a surprise today. They thought they were winning one of the new kits, but they didn’t realize that they would also be meeting James, Marcelo, Keylor Navas, Lucas and Morata at the Adidas event.
