Congratulations to Lukita! He won the Ballon D’Or (today), FIFA Best, Award and UEFA Player of the Year this year! He also ended the 10 year domination of Cristiano and Messi winning the Ballon D’Or. Cris came in 2nd in the voting and Messi 5th. I have to say, it’s refreshing for someone else to get a look in. And that’s not to say that they didn’t deserve their wins – they did. But there are so many tremendous players out there. It’s just nice to see them being appreciated.

One of the fun things to do every year is see what outrageous fashion appears at The Best awards. I mean, Dani Alves is always worth a look – remember when he went apeshit with a bedazzler? And Messi never disappoints in his sartorial faux pas. Ah, but our Sese in a class by himself as is his missus. The happy couple hit the plane attired in their signature idiosyncractic style. Special shoutout to Pilar’s tangerine studded leather jacket because that is truly something and Sergio is just bein’ Sergio. Note the Frankenshirt. I swear to fuck, this man cannot purchase something that hasn’t been pieced together from seven different other garments. Cris’s statue in Madeira has been vandalized with Messi’s name and number painted on his shirt. Douche move. You can be a fan of another player and not do something disrespectful like this. It doesn’t make you a better fan, it makes you an arsehole. I’d say the same if CR7 “fans” defaced a Messi statue. There’s no reason for this sort of dickery. Grow the fuck up.
