The team got back to work today (and I’m getting back into it too).  The big news was that Toni Kroos rejoined the group.

Well, I got home from work at 10 PM so that tells you what kind of day I just had. But you know who had a good day? These guys! (And a few more not in the picture). It was FIFA’s Best awards in Zurich.

Stevie G and Jamie Carragher will go into battle against each other on March 29…for charity. The funds raised will go to community projects in Liverpool. The match completely sold out in hours (surprised it wasn’t minutes, actually) but you can check out the teams after the jump.

Haters Gonna Hate

Adidas Football launched their new boot campaign with a great video entitled “There Will Be Haters” which features Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, James Rodriguez and IMHO, the very easy to hate Luis Suárez. I can see how Chompers would be a shoe in to cast for this one, but not so much with the other guys. Who the heck hates James? That’s like hating a puppy!

World Cup 2014: Minimalist Posters of Memorable Football Moments

There have been some incredible moments at this World Cup. I’ll never forget Tim Cahill’s goal vs Netherlands. That has to be one of, if not THE, goal of this tournament. Xherdan Shaqiri’s thunderbolt vs Honduras was so good, even in a game which saw him net two more. There was Memo Ochoa’s performance vs Brazil. How calm he was, just chewing his gum, moving to and fro across the goal with ease, his hair perfectly coiffed with the headband. There were also Keylor Navas’ go-go-gadget performances vs everyone. And Tim Howard vs Belgium. So many memorable moments.
