20 MarI mean, if we weren’t already pretty damn sure, this post from their vacation to Grenada would have settled things, right? But Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris finally confirmed that Krashlyn is indeed a thing and they are engaged! Very exciting news. Ash gave a very frank interview about why they were quiet for so long. You can roll down memory lane when they were a Drool back in 2015 and enjoy years of Krashlyn love.
I could not be happier for them. I wonder if their doggie Logan will be the flower girl?

It’s A Lukita Sweep!

Congratulations to Lukita! He won the Ballon D’Or (today), FIFA Best, Award and UEFA Player of the Year this year! He also ended the 10 year domination of Cristiano and Messi winning the Ballon D’Or. Cris came in 2nd in the voting and Messi 5th. I have to say, it’s refreshing for someone else to get a look in. And that’s not to say that they didn’t deserve their wins – they did. But there are so many tremendous players out there. It’s just nice to see them being appreciated.

24 SepOne of the fun things to do every year is see what outrageous fashion appears at The Best awards. I mean, Dani Alves is always worth a look – remember when he went apeshit with a bedazzler? And Messi never disappoints in his sartorial faux pas. Ah, but our Sese in a class by himself as is his missus. The happy couple hit the plane attired in their signature idiosyncractic style. Special shoutout to Pilar’s tangerine studded leather jacket because that is truly something and Sergio is just bein’ Sergio. Note the Frankenshirt. I swear to fuck, this man cannot purchase something that hasn’t been pieced together from seven different other garments. I bet his fave Dolly Parton song is “Coat of Many Colors” Anyhow, at first glance, it’s Frankenlicious, but tame for Sergio. But you really need to see the full thing… Continue reading
LUKITA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
30 AugLukita beat out Cristiano and Mo Salah (who Sergio was rather awkwardly seated behind at the ceremony) to win UEFA Player of the Year! He also took home Midfielder of the Year. Mazel Tov! Well deserved. Cris got Forward of the Year which was beyond well deserved. So now Lukita will have an ugly torso statue of his own. Total nightmare fodder.

First off, I must thank the ever amazing hopechaser for single-handedly covering the World Cup and doing such a brilliant job at it. She is a true star and the best watishista correspondent that a girl could ask for. She’s been holding down the fort at a time where I’m just not capable of doing so and I am very grateful.
I’m not good with change and that’s an understatement. I’ve been going through massive change in my personal life which is why I haven’t been around this summer. While I feel that all the upheaval will ultimately be beneficial, it doesn’t make the process any easier. So when my team has been going through similar changes, it has been very difficult for me to write about. Continue reading

18 JulAlthough Sergio has been domesticated for what seems like a very long time (but can you ever truly tame a wild pony?), cue the sounds of a bazillion breaking hearts… To be honest, if she had said no after x amount of years and three kids, I would have been shocked but congratulations to the happy couple. I cannot WAIT to see what they wear. This wedding is sure to be over the top. You just know they’re going to try to get Guns N’ Roses for the wedding band or something.
