Midfielder Michael currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen of the Bundesliga, a team he originally played for back in 1999-2002. He is a former captain of Die Mannschaft and is one of the German national team’s all time leading goal scorers. He is a three time winner of the German Player of the Year (2002, 2003, 2005), UEFA Club Midfielder of the Year and was chosen by Pele as one of the FIFA’s 100 Greatest Players.
