He just loves to drive the knife in, doesn’t he? I’ll always think of him as ours, no matter how irrational that is. Today ultimately ended up as Xabi’s (and Philipp Lahm’s) last appearance in European competition as they are both hanging up their boots at the end of the season. That game had some very questionable decisions by the referees (in both directions) but I think, in the end, we deserved the win over the two legs. I’m sorry to see the back of two such wonderful players, but I’m not sorry we advanced.
Looks like he has angel wings (Hoping our goalkeeping is righteous tomorrow!)

BT Sport posted this video of their #BeatTheBin Challenge. Lots of enjoyable, quick shots. Lewandowski offering a wink. Reina with his aviators. Robben looking nervous. Götze stroking Lahm’s tie. No Xabi though, as this was pre-transfer. The good ol’ days.
As a surprise to NO ONE, Cris has made the 3-player shortlist for the 2013/14 UEFA Best Player in Europe award. This is Cris’ fourth successive appearance on this list since the award was implemented for the 2010-11 season. James and Ángel made the top ten as well, finishing 7 and 9 in the voting respectively.
