The team trained again today. G-Money stayed inside nursing his calf  along with Dani Carvajal and Sami is still recovering. The last training before meeting Bilbao will be tomorrow.

Back To Work, Preparing For PSG

Papi-to-be Iker is going to be juggling a lot very soon.

Iker canceled an appearance in Qatar this week for a goalkeeping clinic on the advice of doctors. Looks like the birth of San Baby is imminent. He did appear via Skype though to answer questions. Since the team will be heading off to Qatar for the friendly against PSG on January 2nd, I guess that puts Iker’s participation up in the air unless, of course, the baby makes his arrival before that time. C’mon San Baby! We can’t wait to see you!

Raul Is Coming Home! (If Only For One Day)

Al Sadd (and Raul!) will play Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabeu Cup in August. It will be bittersweet, but to see Raul on the Bernabeu pitch again will be something special. (Via MGEF)

RM Joins In The Celebration of International Day Of The Girl

Today marks the first International Day of the Girl as proclaimed by the UN to bring attention to issues facing girls globally. Michael Essien will do the honors as the Santiago Bernabeu is lit up pink at night.  Michael will be joined by a chorus of 40 children from the Alhambra Public School, who will sing for the rights of girls.

Anyhow, the match is less than 2 hours away and I’m just catching up on posting, thanks to the evil neighbors who decided to roll home at 2 AM and throw an impromptu party in their backyard, waking me up. I finally shrieked out the window at them around 3 am and they shut up. However, I didn’t fall back asleep until about 6 AM so I’m a bit out of it. Arseholes.
