19 year old defender Kayne came up through Chelsea and Southampton’s youth programs and made his senior debut for the latter in 2018.

Goalkeeper Angus just signed to Southampton from Manchester City. He has represented England at the U16, U17, U19, U20 and U21 levels.

The Daily Drool: Sam McQueen

Left back/winger Sam currently plays for Southampton. He has represented England at the U21 level.

The Daily Drool: Mouez Hassen

Goalkeeper Mouez just joined Southampton on loan from Nice.  He has represented France at the U16, U17, U18, U19, U20 and U21 levels.

The Daily Drool: Ryan Bertrand

Left back Ryan plays for Southampton. He has represented England at the U17, U18, U19, U20, U21 and senior levels. He has also played for Team Great Britain.

The Daily Drool: Nathaniel Clyne

Right back Nathaniel just signed to Liverpool from Southampton. He has represented England at the U19, U21 and senior levels.

Footballers Playing Hockey

The Southampton boys are off on a mini-break to Switzerland this week for some “team bonding” and recovery. Sure beats the scavenger hunts, cocktail hours, and paintball exercises I’ve endured over the years in the name of team building. On the agenda yesterday was ice hockey, with the players kindly capturing their adventure for our viewing pleasure.

I imagine this is how I look navigating the never-ending icy sidewalks in my neighborhood this winter.

Alright, this is the final recap of transfer window drama. This is going to be a doozy and that’s partly why I saved this one for last. It was yet another record breaking year for the summer transfer window in England. There was a lot of movement with a lot of dollars spent.
