One of my fave couples tied the knot yesterday: Jose Callejon & his long time love, Marta Ponsati Romero. Continue reading

Merry Christmas/Happy New Year From La Roja & La Rojita!
29 Dec
I continue to be about as useful as a block of wood, laying in bed here wheezing, I’ll make two quick posts before I fall asleep yet again. (Thanks for all the kind wishes, BTW. Max and I are doing okay but I think I’ve morphed into a cat since I’m sleeping about 14 hours a day).
The merry men of La Roja & the bebes of La Rojita taped holiday messages and – glory be! – blooper reels (I’m side eyeing you, Real Madrid – better get mine tomorrow). So here you go. Chori was very, very Chori (I like how someone handed him a giant Christmas tree to put at crotch level – just adding more fuel to his nickname, eh?) Everyone is just a complete goofball. I do love seeing Xabi crack up and Alvaro being (lovingly) frustrated by his boo. I also got a kick out of how they paired tiny guys with big dudes and perched the wee ones on the shelf (Mata/Negredo, Monreal/Llorente). Continue reading
Friday Training, Transfer Drama, Spain Call Ups
30 AugCasanova picked a great person to bromance with, didn’t he? Casacelo? Anyhow, these two were adorable at training. You can see them goofing around in the video after the jump. Continue reading
La Roja Has Landed
12 AugLa Roja landed in Guayaquil about an hour ago. It’s nice to see that Sefutbol has still not invested in anything more than a point and shoot camera (with vaseline on the lens, methinks) or maybe they’re just taking the shots with someone’s circa 2007 Blackberry Pearl, because…WOW. Continue reading
La Roja Off To Ecuador
12 AugNot a lot of pictures have surfaced of La Roja’s arrival and subsequent take off for Ecuador. However, Drool Amnesty King Victor Valdes gave us a thumbs up from aboard the flight. Continue reading
Ah Sunday…
11 AugSo I finally have a minute to get a few things caught up (and Maisougio will be returning with a big ol’ pre-season game recap post soon).
The boys are back in Madrid with the exception of Sergio & Arbeloa who stayed in the US and will meet La Roja in Ecuador tomorrow (more on that in a bit). The non-internationals will back to training on Wednesday. Mesut so enjoyed wearing Sergio’s hat in St. Louis that he decided to wear it home. Not only did the mothership post a photo, he put it in his Instagram as well. These boys never cease to bring the bromance. Continue reading

He’s Gone, Oh I, Oh I, I Better Learn How To Face It And More
22 JulThe Double As, as they were meant to be. Ah, it fills me with such sadness! Alvaro posted this with the caption (excuse the approximate translation: “Do not strive to make your presence noticed but your absence felt. Yours is going to be felt a lot. I wish all the best to the 5! See you soon, brother!” and then he added ” In bocca al lupo!!” which is Italian for ‘best of luck‘ WAH! Continue reading
It’s (Just About) Official: Chori To Napoli
16 JulHis agent admitted to negotiations and it’s said he’ll be sold for 12 million. All that is missing is the official-official announcement from either club. The Double As will only exist during international duty now. So pour one out for one of the team’s most beloved bromances. Interestingly enough, Albiol joins Calleti in Italy – the man who originally came between him and Arbeloa. Bromance scandal! But it gets better: TuttoSport says that Pipita could be one of Napoli’s targets to replace Edinson Cavani! That would mean 3/4 of Booty CAAll would be livin’ la dolce vita. I will miss Chori and his big goofy smile.
