Cut 2 The Chase

Thanks to watishista hopechaser, I just discovered the Cut 2 The Chase podcast which covers the women’s game and I’m having a listen right now.  It features interviews with players, coaches and administrators sharing stories of their experiences in the game.  For the Spanish speakers, there’s an interview with Verónica Boquete. All the rest are in English. Cut 2 The Chase is currently raising money on IndieGoGo to fund a trip to the last week of the Women’s World Cup to conduct interviews. The Daily Drool: 2015 WWC Group E: Spain’s Verónica Boquete

Midfielder Vero plays for 1. FFC Frankfurt. She has represented Spain at the U19 and senior level. She has also represented Galicia. Fun fact: Vero is the person who started the petition on Change.org in 2013 asking EA to add women’s teams to FIFA. They announced in May that this will happen in FIFA 16. Thanks, Vero!

La la la la la la la. La. I’ve been remiss bringing you more player profiles. I partly blame this on certain media outlets not allowing me to view their videos in my country. Harumph. I also partly blame it on my inability to speak more than one language. Harumph harumph. What I don’t blame it on is my binge procrastinating when not working or volunteering. Not. At. all. 😉

Well into the second week of the Women’s World Cup and I still haven’t located a sticker album locally. What’s up with that? Is there anyone out there who has procured one? I kinda feel they are a myth, a myth perpetuated to mess with my head. Uh huh.

The Reign of VfL Wolfsburg

VfL Wolfsburg surprised many last year when they beat powerhouse Olympique Lyonnais to win the UEFA Women’s Championship League title. They repeated that triumph this year after a fantastic battle vs Tyresö FF, and becoming the first German football team to successfully defend a Champions League title. To cap the season, Wolfsburg also secured their second consecutive Bundesliga title.
